My brother has been fighting his way to Mental Health. He recently has been going through a mental health crisis, on top of his bipolar, manic depression and multiple-personality, he experienced, dissociative identity disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, paranoia and the list goes on. Over the last month, he started writing his feelings and thoughts out. These are real thoughts from a personal fighting mental health illnesses and disorders. He gave me permission to share a few of the writings that will be published in his book coming out soon.

This one touches me because it shows what EVERYONE needs, especially someone with mental health illness, FORGIVENESS and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Supporting each with forgiveness and unconditional love can make the difference between life and death in a person in a serious mental health battle. There are many that may do the same things over and over, and we may grow tired of accepting apologies, and we don’t realize that they don’t have the proper tools and techniques to stop the behavior, which I have learned, is more than likely a Brain Health issue. It’s noteworthy to find that being kind to others lifts the spirits of the giver.

Writing by Tyree Jamarr Mitchell

I can’t make me happy trust me it’s true, only way I am happy is can I do something for you. It’s a wonderful gift to always want to give, but also a horrible curse because I feel no one gives to me the way live. I ask for to much, because I ask for unconditional love and a lot of please forgive me, and see that I really walk with a crutch!

What’s really worth noting is what Tyree is seeking, are the very things God tells us to do, Forgive and Love.  God said when asked to forgive, no matter how many times, we MUST forgive:

Luke 17:4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to say, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

The Lord/Jesus said to forgive 490 times, which really means always forgive because who will actually count how many times someone does them wrong?

Matthew 18:21-22 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Our salvation is at risk when we don’t truly forgive in our hearts.

Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Remember, forgiving is not forgetting or letting the person off the hook. Forgiving can also be away of providing help and teachings to those that need forgiven.

A gofundme has been setup on Tyrees behalf to help with living and medical expenses while he is waiting on disability and his applications to process from Impact. In the meantime, he is facing eviction while he is waiting on approval from community resources. If you are willing to donate and help support Tyree use this link: https://gofund.me/f0cf757f

Until next time:  Be Kind, Speak Life and Love 100%
