I love this piece because so often we find ourselves feeling, less than whole, broken and God said we are complete. We often go around repeating the phrase that “I’m not perfect”, we continuously feed ourselves with traditional sayings that do not serve us or what we want in life. Psalms 139:14 reads: ‘I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.’
We often hold onto words and phrases because we heard it from someone else, we grew up saying that. We repeat things that are not even found in the Bible. Find me one place in the Bible where God said “You are broken! You are not whole! You are not perfect!”. On the contrary, God said we are made in his image. In Genesis 1:27 ‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.’ If I am made in the image of God and if God is perfect, and I am in his image, then I have to be perfect.
In fact, many of the things that we say, were not given to us by God, but, by Man! Romans 12:2 ‘Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.’ We have to not be conformed to this world, to the things that we hear others say so our minds can be cleared of the extra ‘junk’, which will allow us to continuously be in tuned with the God that is in us.
Many times we look outside of ourselves for the answers when God has given us the guidance and advises us that we have everything that we need on the inside. We may need help pulling off the layers that keeps what’s in us buried, however, we don’t need anything else added unto us. Think on this bible verse: Philippians 4:18-20 18 ‘But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.’ 19 ‘But my God shall supply all you need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.’ 20 ‘Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.’
On the contrary to what we think, feel and say sometimes, this writing is a perfect example of what God says about us. Download and enjoy this short writing ‘COMPLETENESS’ by Thomas Troward. I actually challenge you to read this every day for the next 14 days. By accepting this challenge, you will be feeding your subconscious mind things that serve you and help you achieve what you want to have in life. If you would like, in one of our upcoming sessions we can go through this writing.
