Money Lessons from God’s Millionaires
*If you’re on this page, I’d suggest reading when you have time to digest this and to have a notebook and writing instrument to write down whatever God speaks to you and places on your heart as you go through this exercise.* I am not sure how long God will have me leave this page up, it may be a permanent page, it may be a day or a couple of weeks, only God knows when it’s time to take this page down, so don’t wait until you have time or until the weekend or make this a one day I’ll get to it.
All of my life, it’s been hard to follow the masses. If God doesn’t tell me to, then I don’t. Plain as that. I listen to everyone one, and compartmentalize what they say and take it to God. I keep what’s for me and discard the rest. Although I could always do what God placed in my heart, I could only do it to a certain degree, I didn’t have the guidance nor did I know that I should have moved further and kept taking the next step. Finally, God has opened my eyes to several coaches and mentors that I have found to have a spiritual connection to God. It’s one thing to have mentors, coaches, business heroes, it’s another to have them and know that they are in tune with the spirit of God, with the Holy Spirit. Now, I’m at the point to where, when they give advice, I know it’s of and from God, so I listen. God uses others to direct and lead us.
If I have invited you to this private page, it’s because of my obedience to God. God placed this page on my heart a couple of weeks ago. This page has been on my list to do, God said, he could only bless those he wanted on this page if I followed his instructions. As imperfect as I feel this page is, God told me to put it up immediately. I will update this page as I learn more lessons and God leads me to share them with you. This page will be tips from God through millionaires/mentors to me, through me, to you. God gives to us, to work through us for the good of someone else.
The exercises on this page are to bring into your awareness what you want and to keep your desires at the forefront of your psyche. We have to be intentional when we spend time with God and what we desire, so we reduce distractions and possibly reduce the amount of time it takes to manifest. A lot of the time, God is waiting on us, and, if you’re anything like me, most of the time we don’t realize what all or some of the necessary next steps are supposed to be. I found those next steps came in the form of guidance from others that he instructs me to listen to.
All of the guidance I receive from, who I am labeling God’s millionaires, involves how to think more on what I want by taking it to God and making my thoughts default to my desires, which means thinking about what I want as much as I can and reducing the thoughts of what I don’t want or what’s going on around me. Proverbs 23: 7 “As a man thinketh so is he“, if you think on your desire, you start to look like and become what you desire. If we think on lack, lack we have, BUT, when we think on what God intended for us to have, so we gain. God inspires me to put scripture around all that I do and it just felt right to put scripture here.
I know that I am being mentored by whom God wants me to listen to, because I have been observing their lives for several years. I have literally watched lives become stressful and business not thrive as much when they have spoken wrongly about them. It truly amazes me to observe how God operates when people of the world treat His children wrongly.

Here they are, the top three exercises that I’ve applied from my mentors and coaches. Every time I act on any one of the three, I walk into my next blessing. Feel free to take from this what you may and leave what you don’t feel is for you. I always tell my clients, to pray after we have conversations and then if and when God moves you to Act Immediately. There’s a book by Eckhart Tolle called The Power of NOW. I have created worksheets for each of the exercises if it makes it easier for you.
Know exactly what you want! Don’t be scared to share and ask God what you desire, including the desire to have more money. Remember, 1 Timothy 6:10 it’s not money that is evil, it is the LOVE OF MONEY that is the root of evil! One of my favorite bible verses Matthew 7:7-8 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
God did not put limits on what to ask for. Todays Christians think that asking God to be financially wealthy is wrong. However, he actually created us for wealth, but sin has continued to separate us further and further from Him and His truth. God knows that we cannot advance his kingdom without finances:
1. We cannot not focus on God when we lack anything. When we lack we are focused on what we don’t have so much that we are distracted away from our direct divine connection with Him. When we lack, we have anxiety, stress and many physical and mental health challenges. God cannot afford for you to continue to carry those burdens. God needs you to be able to focus on Him and He knows that you have to be wealthy in all areas to tirelessly fulfill the calling on your life.
2. We cannot help others without finances. If no one had money everyone would be sick and poor. No one would be able to help anyone. So, WHY NOT YOU? Why shouldn’t you be the one with the money that can help others? Why shouldn’t you be one that can use you to be the vessel in which others get blessed? Here are several bible verses that show God wants us to be wealthy.
1 Timothy 6:6: “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” What He is talking about here is about being content with the earthly things that we have, don’t want more money to buy things, but want money for God. For when we bring God into our finances and we’re content with the things that we have, we’ll have greater gain.
Proverbs 13:22: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” Grandparents are supposed to leave their grandchildren with an inheritance. When we talk about inheritance, it’s all encompassing. Keeping it real, as stated above, as life goes on, we move further and further away from God and knowing and understanding His word. God wants us to leave our grandchildren, with money, wisdom and God’s characteristics. God already planned for us to have a financially abundant life, however most people don’t know. We’ve been enslaved for some many years, we went from enslaved from sin (Adam and Eve), to enslaved from the ancient Whiteman (not all just the greedy and povertish ones), now to enslaving ourselves. If we were never enslaved, never shown what poverty was like, then we’d have the spiritual awareness, the wisdom, the understanding and we’d be living fully off of our intuition from God.
Proverbs 22:7: “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant (slave) to the lender.” Here is exactly what I was referring to, a slave. We, blacks, have been servant to others for so long, that we don’t know how to allow others to be servants to God’s people. We, as God’s people, were never taught to be the lender, we have been enslaved to the white man. From what I heard when I became an adult is that the American Dream is to be in debt, make money to buy bigger and more things, always to have a car payment. That is not why God needs you financially wealthy. God needs you financially wealthy to advance His Kingdom, to make a way for your grandchildren. All along, God had planned on you being the lender. In order to be the lender what do you need? An abundant life, an inheritance, financial wealth.
You can apply these exercises to any area of your life, health, emotions, relationships, finances, personal growth and professional growth, Any area as you wish. I do suggest picking not more than 2 to focus on during one period. Even though there may be a timeframe noted by the exercise, by all means, feel free to do them longer and make them into a habit. As always, do as God leads you.
In preparation to do exercise 1, know that amount of money that you want to acquire and put a number around the dollar amount.
Example, I desire to acquire an additional $20,000 a year in my business / salary, this number equates to 67 more clients a year billable at $300 for the year. If desire to drill down further, you can add. I desire to have 6 new clients a month billing $300, or perhaps you can write, I desire to have 12 new clients a month billing at $150 each. Let me know if you would like some assistance on figuring the dollar / number of new clients. One of the main pieces with this is preparation is that it helps to set a measurable attainable goal and know how your target is going at any point of time.
Exercise 1
For 2 weeks Follow these 6 steps from the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
| First. | Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say “I want plenty of money.” Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definiteness which will be described in a subsequent chapter). |
| Second. | Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.) |
| Third. | Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire. |
| Fourth. | Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action. |
| Fifth. | Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it. |
| Sixth. | Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ–SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY. |
Exercise 2
For 90 days 5 – 10 minutes a day, spend time writing and asking God one question, be authentic and allow God to lead you with how and what to ask. As you are writing, God will start revealing the answers, write what He reveals to you. Here are a couple of examples of the type of question to ask God:
What do I need to bring to you (God) today?
What do I need to ask God today?
What steps do I need to take today?
Exercise 3
For 30 day 2 minutes in the morning and 2 minutes at night write as if you are already in possession of the very thing you want, the financial wealth that you desire to have. What are you doing because you have what you desire? How do you feel?
EXAMPLE:
I do things that impacts the lives of others
Every month I double the amount of clients I have from last year’s number
Every month I triple my income from last year’s earnings
Clients are healthier, wealthier, happier from working with me
I am spiritually connected to God at all times
I live a happy healthy life
I connect with people that I can help and they can help me
I hear God’s voice clearly
I move when God instructs me to move
I live an abundant life
I am the lender
I pay cash for all things
I am disciplined and focused
I act immediately on ideas God gives to me
