Parenting Children

Living with ADHD/ADD

A Support Group for Parents Who Want More Than Survival Mode

Parenting a child with ADHD is one of the most demanding, disorienting, and deeply loving things a parent can do. It stretches you in ways no one prepared you for, and too often, it leaves you running on empty, wondering what you’re missing and why nothing seems to work.

The questions that keep you up at night might sound like this:
Why does my child shut down the moment I ask something simple?
Why does our home feel like a battlefield, and why am I always the one losing?
How do I stop reacting and start connecting?
Is it possible to support my child without completely losing myself?

You are not alone in this, and you are not failing.

ADHD doesn’t just affect your child’s brain. It reshapes the entire family system — the rhythms, the communication, the emotional climate of your home. Understanding that changes everything. And that is exactly where this space begins.

Parenting Children Living with ADHD is a supportive parent group designed to help parents better understand their child’s brain, behavior, emotions, and nervous system, while also learning how to regulate themselves, respond with confidence, and create more structure at home.

This group is for parents who want:
practical tools; e
motional support; a better way to parent children living with ADHD without shame, blame, or constant power struggles; to feel more confident, supported, and less alone in your parenting journey.

We cover:

Brain health & ADHD education

Understand what is actually happening in your child’s brain — and why that knowledge changes how you respond.

Communication & connection

Learn language that reaches your child — strategies that build trust instead of resistance.

Parent emotional regulation

You cannot pour from an empty cup. Explore practical tools to manage your own nervous system so you can show up more grounded.

Behavior & routine building

Create structure that works for an ADHD brain — routines that reduce conflict and replace the daily power struggle with predictability.

“Every topic in this group was chosen with one question in mind: what does this parent need to move from reacting to leading — and from surviving to dominion?”

— Monica M. Madden, MS, LMFT · Certified Brain Health Clinician

Who is this group for?
This group is for any parent — mother, father, grandparent, or guardian — raising a child who has been diagnosed with ADHD or experiences ADHD-like symptoms. Whether your child was recently diagnosed or you have been navigating this for years, you are welcome here. There is no prerequisite except the desire to grow.
Is this therapy or a coaching group?
Both tracks are available. This group is a coaching and education group. It is a non-clinical group focused on skill-building, brain health education, and practical strategies. If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area and interested in the therapy group, please contact us directly at info@monicaMMadden.com.
How long is the program?
Each group runs for six weeks, meeting once per week virtually. The six-week format is intentional — long enough to go deep, short enough to be manageable for a busy parent. At the close of each cohort, returning participants may have the opportunity to join a subsequent round.
Where does the group meet?
This group is offered in a hybrid format — so wherever you are, there is a place for you. If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area, you are welcomed to join us in person. If you are outside the area — or simply prefer the flexibility of joining from home — sessions are also available virtually via Zoom. Same content. Same community. You choose what works best for your life.
When will I receive my session information?
You will receive everything you need at least 48 hours before your first session. Whether you are joining us virtually or in person, your confirmation email will include your Zoom link and any in-person details specific to your location — so you can come prepared and ready to be present from day one. If you do not see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder first, then reach out to us at info@monicammadden.com and we will get it to you right away.
How do I join?
This group’s enrollment opens ahead of each new session start date. Space is limited to protect the intimacy and quality of the experience.
Is there a cost?
Yes. There is a fee to participate. Specific pricing is shared during the enrollment period. We believe access matters, and we do our best to make this experience as accessible as possible — reach out if cost is a concern and we will do our best to support you.
What is the refund policy?

Because each cohort is intentionally small, every seat carries weight — for you and for the parents who may be waiting to join. If you need to cancel, refund requests must be submitted at least two weeks before the cohort start date. Approved refunds are returned using the same payment method used at registration.

After the two-week cutoff, refunds are not available. However, we want to make sure your investment still works for you. If life shifts unexpectedly, you may transfer your seat to another parent or roll your registration forward to the next available cohort. To request a refund, transfer, or cohort change, please contact us directly at info@monicaMMadden.com. We will do our best to find a solution that honors your commitment to showing up.

What if I can’t make every session?
Life happens — we understand. We ask for your commitment to attend as consistently as possible, since the group experience builds week to week and the community benefits when everyone is present. If you anticipate a conflict, please reach out in advance. Recordings or notes may be available depending on the group agreements.
Is faith a requirement to participate?
No. While faith and purpose are woven into the framework of this group, you do not need to share a particular belief system to benefit from or belong in this space. All parents who are committed to growth are welcome.
Still have a question?
We would love to hear from you. Reach out directly and a member of our team will respond within 48 hours.
