Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29:18
God so eloquently put it -where there is no vision the people perish. Those without vision cannot propel forward because there is nothing they are reaching for. When we reach for nothing, we get what we’ve reached for. We either move forward or we are left behind.
God said, ‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.’ ‘For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be opened.’Matthew 7:7-8
My favorite bible verse! How can we ask, how can we seek, how can we knock if we don’t know what we want? Think of this, we get what we ask for, if we don’t ask for anything, we don’t receive anything. The only way to ask is to know what one wants, and we have to know exactly what we want or we’ll get what we want in a manner that we don’t want it.
Example, many ask God for a spouse, a companion, and that’s the request. Because they were not exact on what they wanted, they enter into relationships that was not meant for them because they were not specific in the request. Imagine if they asked for a loving caring companion, that spoils them, that loves them, and takes care of them financially, spiritually and is grounded in the Word of God. They take all that comes with you and love you anyway How would that make you feel?
In order to get what we want, we have to know exactly what it is and call upon God to provide it for us. Use these worksheets to define what you want in each area of life, and spend time each day thinking about what your life is to look like. There is one sheet for each area and then one sheet combined for all areas. After you write what you want each area to look like, summarize the area into one or two sentences and write it on the one page.
